Corporate Services

Provides support services to Authority programs through administration, policy development, financial expertise, governance, communications, education, and human resources.

Administration: Staff work with internal and external clients to support Authority administrative functions including policies & procedures; tendering, requests for proposals/quotes, and purchasing procedures; office equipment and furniture supplies; telecommunications; corporate records; Municipal Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy; NVCA Logo Use agreement (contact srichards@nvca.on.ca); and meeting room/venue bookings at the Tiffin Conservation Area (click here to go to booking forms)

Human Resources: provides advice, consultation and information on numerous issues while ensuring concurrence with related legislation; such as employee relations, job analysis and development, compensation and benefit administration, performance management, training and development, staffing forecasting, & health & safety. Staff also coordinate and facilitate employment principles for the recruitment (career opportunities), including the selection and hiring process.

Finance: provides financial leadership and guidance, while ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in compliance with program budgets (current budget). Services provided include: preparation of the Authority's operating and capital budgets; financial reporting; tracking capital projects; accounts payable and receivable; bank reconciliations; GST submissions; coordinating the Authority's audit; purchasing control; payroll services; reserves management to replace/maintain capital assets and manage future financial risks.

Governance: provides administrative and clerical support to the Board of Directors, in the preparation of agendas and minute reporting. Staff prepare and retain resolutions and reports of the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee meetings (minutes). Board members are actively engaged in the governance of Authority programs and services through membership in Advisory Committees 

Communications: ensuring the on-going promotion of the Authority's role in the environmental protection and management of the watershed through the website, Annual Reports, Newsletters and assisting with the production of media releases.
