 What is Giant Hogweed and wgiant hogweedhat you should do if you see it?Hogweed is an invasive species that resembles Queen Anne's Lace but can grow up to 5 metres tall. It can pose a health risk as it contain a noxious sap that sensitizes skin to sunlight. It has been recorded in 7 watershed municipalities - Adjala-Tosorontio, Clearview, Collingwood, Essa, New Tecumseth, Mono and Wasaga Beach.

Update on Source Water Protection Planning..Open Houses scheduled

Land Acquisition in the Minesing Wetlands
NCC logo
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) works with private landowners to secure ecologically significant lands that we have identified as priorities for conservation action. NCC acquires land through outright purchase or receives properties by land donation. 
The NCC and the NVCA have been working together for more than 30 years to protect important places within the Minesing Wetlands.
