With an extensive sugar bush, the Tiffin Centre for Conservation is the home for all things maple syrup!
Spring Tonic Festival
This year's festival runs April 8 & 9, 2017!
Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival at the
Tiffin Centre is a tradition spanning more than three decades.
Each year hundreds of visitors enjoy pancakes and sausages with maple syrup made right here at the Tiffin Centre. There are demonstrations of syrup making methods from Native and pioneer times, as well as tours of the Tiffin Centre's sugar shack. In recent years, the live animal display has become a huge hit, as well as visits from local police and fire departments. Horse-drawn wagon rides are a perennial favourite, along with War of 1812 re-enactors, and of course the crafts and displays.
For more than a decade, the Rotary Club of Barrie has been an invaluable part of the planning and support of this event, which has grown by leaps and bounds.
Funds raised at Spring Tonic help support Rotary programs as well as education and conservation programs at the Tiffin Centre.
