Camp Tiffin open on February 21
Camp Tiffin "Explorers" Camp
As different school boards have confirmed rotating strikes, Camp Tiffin will be open for parents looking to find quality care and activities for their kids. Available camps will continue to be announced as school
closure information from school boards is released. Camp Tiffin is located 15 west from Barrie, Angus and Innisfil, and 45 minutes away from Shelburne and Collingwood areas.
Led by NVCA’s environmental educators, kids aged 5-12 will enhance your child's knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the natural world and our amazing planet. This winter, we will head outside and explore the winter wonders of the 300+ acre Tiffin Centre for Conservation. This special camp is designed to be flexible with the school board's strike schedule.
Activities may include:
- Nature walks and forest exploration
- Animal tracking and bird watching
- Shelter building
- Winter games and crafts
- Snowshoeing and kick sledding (if weather permits)
- On colder days, we will have some time indoors doing wooden crafts and investigating nature artifacts to warm up between outdoor excursion.
Camp Tiffin will be open on a day-by-day for parents who need childcare during school strikes on an as needed basis.
Currently, we will be open on February 21.
