Important Reminders when Visiting a Conservation Area
A few reminders to make your visit to an NVCA conservation area safe and enjoyable for all:
- Parking fees apply to all conservation areas. These fees help NVCA maintain the conservation areas for everyone to enjoy.
Dogs are welcome to visit, but must be on-leash at all times. Dog owners please "stoop and scoop" your pet's waste.
- Alcohol is not permitted on any NVCA lands.
- Unauthorized operation of a motor vehicles, including snow mobiles, off-road vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and motorcycles, is prohibited within NVCA conservation areas.
Please don't deface, remove or damage of any property.
Plants and trees for everyone to enjoy. Cutting, destroying or removal of any growing thing is prohibited. This includes picking mushrooms and any other edibles.
Don't disturb wildlife. Killing and trapping of animals is not allowed without the appropriate permits:
Hunting: Hunters require a
NVCA hunting permit, and must hunt only in designated conservation areas. All Ontario hunting rules and regulations apply.
Fishing: Fishing is allowed at NVCA conservation areas. Anglers must have a
fishing license as required by the Province. Conservation area
parking fees apply.
Camp fires are not allowed.
Don't litter. Put your garbage in the cans provided.
