Christmas Bird Count for Kids
Help us count the birds that make Tiffin their winter home!
Kick off the New Year with the kids’ version of Christmas Bird Count! Learn how to bird watch with nature enthusiasts from Nature Barrie and contribute to science! After a short presentation, we will take to the trails on a guided hike to find and practice identifying the birds at the Tiffin Conservation Area!
Come prepared for the weather. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them. Additional binoculars and guides will be available at the event.
Christmas Bird Count is a tradition for many families and is the longest running citizen science project in North America! Each year, people in more than 2000 locations throughout the Western Hemisphere participate in the Christmas Bird Count!
