Explore nature this winter with NVCA with these programs!

Winter is here! The leaves have fallen, some animals have migrated or hibernated, but that doesn’t mean we can’t explore nature!

With out leaves in the trees, we can easily see the birds that call your neighbourhood home. The footprints that animals leave behind in are much easier to find in the snow.

Join NVCA in our winter programs to learn more about experiencing nature in the winter! There are programs for children between the ages of 2.5 – 12 years old.

Children aged 2.5 to 10 are invited to explore and connect with the natural world at Tiffin Nature School.

The program integrates academic content with outdoor activities, and provides a holistic educational experience that goes beyond the classroom.

On January 2, 2025, learn how to watch birds during Christmas Bird Count for Kids.

Nature Barrie will lead guide bird hikes to find and identify birds at the Tiffin Conservation Area. Hot chocolate included. Please bring your own reusable mug. All ages welcome.

Explore nature, discover new skills and meet new friends at Winter Camp Tiffin!

Look for signs of wildlife, play forest games, learn about winter birds and more! This year, Winter Camp Tiffin runs on December 30, January 2 and January 3.
