Healthy Waters Program

Creating Healthy Waters

The Healthy Waters Program is administered by the NVCA. Program supporters are interested in increasing habitat and improving water quality:

  • 18 watershed municipal partners and 3 watershed counties

  • Dufferin South Simcoe Stewardship Council

  • Simcoe chapter of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture

  • TD Friends of the Environment

  • RBC Dominion Securities (Collingwood)

  • Sustain Our Great Lakes Foundation

  • Christian Farmers of Ontario

  • … and many others!

If you are interested in donating to our programs, your support will help fund on-the-ground projects that increase habitat and improve water quality. The NVCA is a registered charitable organization and tax receipts are issued.

Many individuals volunteer their time! If you are interested in helping with our education programs, habitat restoration and lands management, keep an eye on our Events or Facebook page for activity announcements.

Give a Wild Gift

Many of the beautiful and ecologically significant Conservation Areas the NVCA cares for in the public trust were donated by landowners. By donating land or arranging conservation easements, landowners protect the natural heritage of their properties in perpetuity. There are often significant tax benefits if the lands qualify under the federal EcoGifts program. Contact the NVCA’s Director of Lands & Stewardship at khowes@nvca.on.ca to enquire about making a donation of land.
