Watershed Condition Statement:
Flood Outlook
Flood Potential: Low
Issued to: Local municipalities and school boards, local conservation authorities, emergency response agencies, health unit, media, NVCA board and staff
Date: May 21, 2025 (2:15 PM)
The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority is issuing a Flood Outlook. The public, especially children and pets, are advised to stay away from all area water bodies due to unstable slippery banks, and fast-flowing watercourses creating dangerous conditions.
A low-pressure system is expected to bring 30-50 mm of rainfall to Southern Ontario between Wednesday, May 21, and Saturday, May 24. This may lead to rising river and stream levels and an increased risk of localized flooding.
The NVCA continues to monitor conditions and will issue updates as necessary. This statement remains in effect until 4:30 PM Saturday, May 24, 2025.
