Who are we?
The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) is one of Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities dedicated to innovative watershed management supporting a healthy environment, communities, and lifestyles. Our jurisdiction includes 18 municipalities in the County of Simcoe, County of Dufferin, Grey County, and the western part of the City of Barrie and spans approximately 3700 sq. km. Our watershed includes significant landform features, such as the Minesing Wetlands, the Niagara Escarpment, and the Oak Ridges Moraine.

This position is a casual/on-call position. The hourly salary range is $17.20 to $24.00 (Contract Grade 1 – 2025 salary grid).
Summary of Functions
Responsible with assisting in providing environmental education and recreational activities to school and community groups, both at the Tiffin Centre and through outreach. This position is year-round and it is ideal for someone looking to do part-time work during school hours.
Eligibility Requirements
Ideally, the incumbent has a diploma in Outdoor Recreation/Education, Early Childhood Education, or other educational background in another related program along with experience with children or, have 5 years related experience. Must have or attain Standard First Aid & CPR Level C prior to starting and the ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sectors Police Records check due to the work involving children.
