Who are we?
The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) is one of Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities dedicated to innovative watershed management supporting a healthy environment, communities, and lifestyles. Our jurisdiction includes 18 municipalities in the County of Simcoe, County of Dufferin, Grey County, and the western part of the City of Barrie and spans approximately 3700 sq. km. Our watershed includes significant landform features, such as the Minesing Wetlands, the Niagara Escarpment, and the Oak Ridges Moraine.

The annual salary rate is $65,902 – $82,373 (Grade 4 – 2024 salary grid) based on a 35-hour work week.
Summary of Functions
This position provides support and expertise to the watershed science program through the coordination of the risk management office and source water protection authority. It will assist in completing various technical reports, sourcing, and analyzing data.
Eligibility Requirements
Ideally, the incumbent has a post-secondary education in science with a specialization in environmental science, ecology, Natural Resources or similar discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience. The ideal candidate will also have Risk Management Official/Inspector training or the ability to obtain. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team. You must have a valid Ontario driver’s license.
