The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority

Fishing

There are many great fishing locations within the Nottawasaga Watershed. The fresh, clean water within the Nottawasaga Watershed support a large variety of sports fish, such as Chinook Salmon and Rainbow Trout.

Fishing within NVCA’s watershed requires proper permits/licences. Please see the Government of Ontario website for details on fishing seasons, limits and permits.

The McKinnon Road/Nottawasaga River access point is the only fishing location which NVCA requires an additional permit.

The proceeds from the sale of NVCA’s Fishing Permits goes directly to the Conservation Lands programs and maintenance of NVCA’s conservation areas

To apply for a permit, complete the Fishing Permit Application Form below or visit NVCA’s Administration Office. Please note you will require a fishing license through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) and must follow all seasons and regulations identified by MNRF.
