About Tiffin Maple Syrup

For more than 40 years, volunteers have produced Tiffin Maple Syrup in support of maintaining Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority’s conservation areas and education programming for schools in the Nottawasaga Valley Watershed.

Tiffin Maple Syrup also supplied past Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festivals, a fundraiser hosted by NVCA and Rotary Club of Barrie. Revenues from the festival are split 50/50 with each side allocating their portion accordingly. The share received by NVCA is invested back into the maintenance of the maple syrup operation and our conservation areas while the Rotary Club of Barrie redirects their portion to the local community.

In a typical year, NVCA staff lead the installation and maintenance of the sap lines and buckets while volunteers assist with all other aspects of maple syrup production, including sap collection and boiling and education programming. Volunteers come from all walks of life from students to seniors and everyone in between. Some volunteers have assisted with the maple syrup program for over a decade and are an integral part of NVCA’s maple syrup program.
