Weddings at the Historic Fort Willow Conservation Area

The Historic Fort Willow Conservation area is steeped in history. Once a supply depot during the War of 1812, this conservation area was actively used for centuries by First Nations, fur trade and French explorers as part of a major transportation route known as the Nine Mile Portage linking Lake Simcoe and Lake Huron.

The soaring post-and-beam Bernie Longson Memorial Pavilion accommodates up to 100 guests, and is a perfect spot for an outdoor summer celebration.

Photoshoots

The Historic Fort Willow Conservation Area has a number of unique features, ideal for backdrops to your photoshoot. A large palisade surrounds wood foundations that delineate the location of historic buildings. A large staircase leading into an adjacent valley and Ganaraska, North Simcoe Rail and Trans Canada trails provides great opportunities for additional variety of photos.

We welcome recreational photographers, however professional photoshoots require a permit and must be pre-arranged.
